In 2022, Sutton returned to the Bay Area after being based in Berlin for five years, settling in Oakland and immediately reviving Useless Eaters with renewed focus. Over the past eighteen months, the band completed two European tours and a series of California shows. Their first new material in nearly a decade is slated for release this fall on Goodbye Boozy Records, a respected independent label based in Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy, which originally issued their debut vinyl, the "Agoraphobic" single, in 2008.
Seventeen years on from their beginnings, Useless Eaters continue to be a vital presence at the intersection of punk, experimentation, and visual art under Seth Sutton’s singular vision.
