Tom from Media Puzzle works notoriously fast, the debut EP from the Lismore, Australia outfit, “14”, was written in a day and mastered on another. But here, on the bands latest release, “New Racehorse”, it’s clear that time was taken. Sarcastic, kinda sassy, and undeniably smart, It’s thick with texture and heavy layers. Well thought out hooks and it’s catchy as hell from track one to thirteen. Wait… thirteen? But, the LP on Impressed Recordings has twelve tracks, right? Yeah, that’s right, we’re stoked as hell to have an exclusive bonus track, “Robotic Love”, only here, 50 total on purple swirl shells. The dirty summer soundtrack has arrived and it feels fucking good.
